Welcome To MVMPVS

The important stage of life after school education is college education. Along with education, a student gets the art of living life, moral education, discipline and values from the college only. Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya has been one such center of education, which has taught life values to the students. Traditions have a very important place in shaping life values and providing their basis. MVM has also always followed these traditions. Gradually, we were moving towards the fiftieth year of the establishment of our college. In order to give significance to MVM, I and my colleagues thought that why don't we celebrate the golden jubilee of our future-building institution, as soon as the thought came to our mind The plan started taking shape at a rapid pace and then the idea came that why don't we form an alumni organization.

Who We Are

MVMPVS
Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya Purv Vidhyarthi Sangthan

College life is one of the most important stages after school. It’s not just about studies — college also teaches us how to live life, behave with others, follow rules, and learn values. Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya (MVM) has always been a place where students learned these important lessons along with their education.
Traditions play a big role in shaping our values, and MVM has always respected and followed these traditions. As our college was getting closer to its 50th year, my colleagues and I thought — why not celebrate this big moment? That’s how the idea of the Golden Jubilee Celebration started. We also thought it would be a great time to create an alumni organization — a group to bring together past students and help the college grow.
This alumni group was formed to stay connected with former students and support the college’s development. The main goals of the group are:
•    To connect old and current students.
•    To help the college with infrastructure and academic needs.
•    To raise money for the college.
•    To work for social good.
Along with me, people like Dr. Vinod Parashar, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh, Mr. Basant Pathak, Mr. Hemant Pathak and Dr. Rekha Shrivastava helped to form the alumni organization. After starting the group, we focused on organizing the Golden Jubilee Celebration. Everyone worked with great excitement. Many dignitaries were invited to grace the occasion. The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, came as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Charandas Mahant, Member of Parliament from Chhattisgarh, was the President of the event. More than 2000 alumni attended the two-day celebration. It was a grand and joyful event. The Chief Minister enjoyed himself so much that he stayed for nearly three hours, talking and laughing with old friends. One of the biggest successes of the event was that the Chief Minister announced Rs. 2 crore for a new building for the college. Former students from all over India and even from other countries joined the event. I’m thankful to all my colleagues and seniors who supported us throughout the event. Special thanks go to people like Mr. Vinay Senger, Ashok Jain “Bhabha,” Dr. Umesh Mishra, and many others who played key roles in making the event a success.
The celebration was held on 6th and 7th November 2011. On the first day, we held a felicitation ceremony to honor principals, teachers, and staff. They were given shawls and coconuts as a mark of respect. Other staff were given shirts, sarees, and shawls. On 7th November, the main program took place with students — past and present — joining from India and abroad. Chief guests included Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Dr. Charandas Mahant, and MLA Dhruvanarayan Singh. The program included speeches, honors for former student leaders and bright students, and a vote of thanks by Student Union President Rajkumari Sahu.
A souvenir was also published for the event. Shri Vipin Bihari Vajpayee worked very hard on it, along with Shri Pralay Srivastava. After the celebration, alumni like Mrs. Seema Dubey (Vajpayee) helped the college by donating useful items like air conditioners, photocopy machines, chairs, and water coolers. Another alumnus, Mr. Santosh Kumar Srivastava, who is also the Vice Chancellor of Sagar University, donated cupboards and other items.
Since the group started, we’ve been organizing events to help social causes along with yearly events like Holi and Diwali celebrations, family picnics, and get-togethers. During COVID-19, we also distributed free masks and blankets in Bhopal, spreading awareness to prevent this calamity. Today, many of our former students are successful in fields like IAS, IPS, Army, business, education, science, politics, sports, and more. Our alumni group organizes seminars, talks, and learning programs for current students. So far, 700 alumni have joined the organization. We’re trying to connect with more so that we can continue helping the college grow.
GovtMotilal Vigyan College Alumni Organization (MVMPVS) is one of the most active alumni groups in Madhya Pradesh and is moving forward with pride and purpose.
